EMPLOYMENT: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNERS

LA DALLMAN Architects, established in 1999, seeks Architectural Designers of the highest design and collaborative capabilities for a range of full-time positions within a growing practice. Designers will engage in all levels of design and professional practice and will contribute to project management and marketing according to their level of experience.

LA DALLMAN is internationally recognized as an innovative architectural design practice rooted in the integration of site, materiality and spatial choreography. Examples of current and upcoming projects include performing arts centers, live-work housing, civic master plans, and educational environments. The practice also participates in competitions and design research, and has a long-standing commitment to civic space-making and the integration of architecture, infrastructure, and landscape. Led by James Dallman and Grace La (both graduates of the Harvard GSD, where Grace is now tenured faculty), the studio is located in Boston and Milwaukee. LA DALLMAN is hiring in the Boston location only.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Exceptional design and graphic skills and a commitment to disciplinary excellence.

MArch degree required, licensure optional.

Experience with built projects preferred, interest in the relationship between space and construction.

Highly motivated and focused, with a good-humored and positive demeanor.

Able to think proactively while participating in a tight-knit, collaborative working environment that values excellence, innovation and civic purpose.

Strong Proficiency in AutoCad, Sketchup, Revit, Rhino, Adobe suite and Excel software required.

Skills in hand drawing, sketching, physical modeling and digital modeling are highly valued.

Organizational and research skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – visual and verbal.
